Hijab controversy: Vacation for 3-day school-colleges from tomorrow
High School, Undergraduate and Degree Colleges across the state have been declared holidays from 9 am-11pm on Wednesday.
There have been protests, stone-pelting, and the police have come out to control the situation
Students wearing saffron shawls have warned that our fight will continue if the court orders a hijab. It is in this backdrop that the Karnataka government has announced a three-day holiday for school and college.
Higher Education Minister Ashwath Narayan said the 3-day school-colleges holiday has been announced tomorrow in the wake of the uniform dispute among state colleges. After hearing the arguments, the High Court adjourned the hearing at 2:30 pm tomorrow.
